Chocolate Dipped Dates with Peanut Butter – 3-Ingredient Indulgence

Chocolate Dipped Dates with Peanut Butter – Your New Favourite Snack

Three ingredients. Ten minutes. Pure indulgence. These chocolate dipped dates stuffed with creamy peanut butter are the perfect balance of natural sweetness, rich chocolate, and nutty goodness. They look like a luxury truffle but take almost no effort to make.

Ingredients

  • 15–20 large soft dates (pitted) – Arabian Dates or Kalmi Dates are ideal
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 150g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), chopped
  • Optional toppings: flaky sea salt, crushed pistachios, desiccated coconut, or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prep the dates: Slice each date lengthwise and open it like a book. Remove the pit if present.
  2. Fill: Spoon or pipe about ½ tsp of peanut butter into the centre of each date. Press gently to close slightly.
  3. Melt the chocolate: Melt chopped dark chocolate in a microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
  4. Dip: Hold each stuffed date by one end and dip it halfway (or fully) into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip off.
  5. Top & set: Place on a parchment-lined tray. Immediately sprinkle with your choice of toppings — sea salt is a game-changer!
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.

Tips & Variations

  • Use almond butter or tahini instead of peanut butter for a different flavour profile.
  • White chocolate works beautifully for a sweeter, more festive version.
  • These make stunning edible gifts — pack them in a box lined with parchment paper.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 10 days.
